Today was a good day, a little bit on the long side, but good. I feel like May is taking forever to end, even this week is taking forever to end!! Usually my weeks go by so fast, but even last weekend, it dragged!! Every mom out there is telling me that usually the last month of pregnancy drags...they are not wrong, except that I am not exactly on my last month. Of course the weather is not helping at all, it has been extremely hot here-- we're talking summer temps overtaking the remainder of the spring season. This weekend we were supposed to go on a two day trip, something like a "goodbye" to just being the two of us before Isabella is born, but I decided to cancel. Lately I have been in pain when walking, sitting, sleeping, etc., it turns out to be PGP, pelvic girdle pain, and let me tell you, it hurts!! Unfortunately there is nothing I can do to help it out except rest. But I am in pain even when resting!! Well, enough complaining...I will only say that I rather suffer but have a healthy and safe baby, so no more complaints. :o)
This afternoon my love, Roberto, and I went to the movies--we went to watch Star Trek. I must be honest, I have never been a Star Trek fan. I have never ever seen a single episode of Star Trek so I had no idea of what to expect of this movie. Roberto is always so sweet to sit through girly movies that I choose, so it was my turn to reciprocate the favor. Believe it or not, I cried and cried just seeing the beginning of the movie. Pregnancy hormones!! :o) I really enjoyed the movie a lot and I admit that I feel like I have missed a lot having not watched any of the episodes. At this movie theater, there is always an interval and during the interval we were chatting with a couple that was sitting in front of us and I surprised them by confessing that I am American and I have never seen any Star Trek episodes, they laughed! Now I understand where Beam me up Scotty comes from!! If you haven't seen this movie, I do recommend it, especially if you don't know anything about Star Trek like me.

Well, I thought I would be able to add other little stuff to my blog, BUT we're having problems with our internet connection. No wonder I could not upload many things.... oh well, I tried and tomorrow is another day. Right now it's time to go to bed!! Sweet dreams!

Sogni d'oro!

This is my first blog ever and it is still very under construction as you can see. I hope to add more to it tonight...right now I am tired of trying to figure out how to make my site pretty. :o) I hope you enjoy my adventures as a first time American mom in Italy, we still have 50 more days until my due date, but the adventures have been going on for a while now--8 months ago!
